Where to go O god?
There is no place on earth,
Where the peace still resides,
Where life is of worth,
The air is polluted,
The water is contaminated,
And the land has turned,
Into a death-bed,
The terrorism and corruption,
Are leading to destruction,
Jealousy and hatred,
Poison the hearts of men,
Each brain is a heap of garbage,
Each heart is a tank of poison,
Helpless, hopeless with nowhere to go,
We are ruined, you know,
But you are nowhere to be seen,
Nor your sacred voice is heard,
It makes me sure,
You too have betrayed us.
Really concerned lines at that age. Beautifully penned.
ReplyDeleteDespite the ending lines, which would normally have had me move on, I'd like to say that I found the picture interesting (funny and sad) and that I loved the lines "Each brain is a heap of garbage/Each heart is a tank of poison". The image of the heart as a "tank of poison" really struck out and I loved it.
