Mysterious letter(Y2K)

I was sitting on the roof,
In the shade of cotton clouds,
When I saw a saucer hover,
Making a little sound,
The spaceship landed,
On the roof of my house,
I tried to run for safety,
Cowering like a mouse,
A door opened in it,
And out it came,
I wasn’t dreaming,
An alien from outer space,
Before I could speak,
It gave me a letter,
I stared at it blankly,
Not a word able to utter,
It read,
?EM LLET UOY LLIW
?HTRAE TENALP SI EREHW
.GNIEB NAMUH A PANDIK OT EREH MA I
Before I could speak,
Echoed my mother’s footsteps,
The alien ran back in,
And like a bolt of lightning, he fled,
My mother took me down,
By my ears but I was thinking,
Ignoring the pain,
What was in the letter, wondering?
And then an idea struck,
And I held it in front of mirror,
When I read it crystal clear,
My knees trembled with terror,
Because the letter said,
WILL YOU TELL ME?
WHERE IS PLANET EARTH?
I AM HERE TO KIDNAP A HUMAN BEING.

Simon Snoots' whiskers-2

" I am sure everyone has read Simon Snoots' whiskers in elementary school. It was one of the funniest poem i have ever read. But its ending always bothered me as somehow it saddened me to see tragedy befall on the whiskers. So I tried to complete the story in my own way"

The goat chewed of all the whiskers,
Mistaking it as a new kind of hay,
Simon slept not knowing,
Till the clock struck mid-day,
Simon woke up and noticed,
He began to shout and cry,
He was famous for his whiskers,
Without them he felt shy,
Packing his bags in sorrow,
He reported at the circus,
The ringmaster refused to let him in,
He drove him out in anger,
Simon was left alone,
Angry, his whiskers he missed,
He wandered the streets for days,
Till they grew back on his face.

Sun at sunrise(1999)

It was red in colour,
With a pinch of orange,
Its shape was like a big ball,
I didn’t knew from where it came,
But however,
I liked its beauty,
In wonder,
I gazed and gazed at it,
As it started to turn yellow,
And brought water in my eyes,
I went inside the house,
Fascinated by the sun at sunrise.

Butterfly(1999)

It flies over the flowers,
And sits down on them,
It sucks their nectar,
And closes its wings,
Flies away on its way,
Sometimes folding,
Sometimes opening,
Its beautiful wings,
When I try to catch it,
It flies so swiftly,
Revolves around my eyes,
As if challenging,
I forget it all and stare,
And I fail to catch it,
I ask the god,
Why I don’t have that gift?
I wish I could be,
Colorful like butterfly,
Living in the gardens,
In the air I could fly.

Unlucky(1999)

The sun was setting,
And soon the night fell,
The stars twinkled in the sky,
How many? No one can tell,
The moon came out,
And lightened the earth,
With its stolen light,
Still too pleasant,
But unluckily,
I couldn’t see,
The night sky,
And its superb beauty,
The clouds huge,
Proved my enemy,
They covered the sky,
I went green with envy,
I lied down on bed,
With a heavy heart,
And thinking of stars,
Soon dozed off.
